Cathryn J. Overcash has been in the mortgage industry since 1983. Throughout the years there is not a position in the retail area that she has not learned, worked and taught.
In the late 1980’s Cathryn taught the Realtors at Weichert Real Estate in New Jersey. She was the mortgage speaker during the introductory course to real estate and she trained over 750 Realtors about writing contracts and basic mortgage qualifying of customers.
Throughout the 1990’s Cathryn taught Realtors and also brand new loan officers entering the mortgage business. In 1993 Cathryn took a brand new office consisting of 6 new loan officers and within 6 months that office was one of the top-producing offices at GMAC Mortgage.
From 2001 to present Cathryn continues to hold meetings for local Real Estate companies and teaches the Realtors how to write up government contracts and how to list homes for government financing. She teaches everything from First Time Homebuyer Products to 5 Million dollar products for the upper-echelon homes in Charlotte, Lake Norman and the surrounding areas.
In 2007 Cathryn started a company called Learning The Basics. This is a training program specifically for FHA and VA home loans. Hundreds of loan officers have attended the class and are continuing to do so. Although Cathryn still originates government loans, she is dedicated to the mortgage industry as a whole and is enthusiastic about teaching others. Her dedication to the industry knows no bounds.
Cathryn teaches full classes on specific dates which loan officers can readily sign up for and she also does private company teaching all throughout the Carolinas when requested by the individual Broker Companies.
